With Covid-19 seemingly calming the F down, it leaves a lot of us wondering when will everything actually be normal. Ya know? Like normal normal. One of the remaining missing pieces of a complete Disney World vacation is the CHARACTERS!

The good news is that some character dining has already returned. Should we start there? Okay, if you want to catch some character dining during your upcoming trip here are your options:
1. Garden Grill at Epcot- This is a great option to see Mickey and friends. It is a smaller venue which allows for more character sightings than the bigger venues. Garden Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner serving American family style meals.
2. Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios- Your experience will vary depending on which meal you are dining. Breakfast will get you the Disney Jr. characters. Lunch and dinner will get you Minnie and friends, all serving American style.
3. Tusker House at Animal Kingdom- This menu might be intimidating upfront for some, but it is definitely worth a try. You can always ask for Mac n Cheese or chicken for the kiddos. This venue gets you Mickey and friends during breakfast, lunch, and dinner serving American and African fusion.
4. Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort-This is probably the option you are thinking of when you think of character dining. It serves American style for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you have a plethora of options, this isn't the one I would pick. It is very loud. It is also huge, so you will probably only see a character one time and not for very long because they have to go through the whole restaurant. I know that we don't really go to character dining for the food, but the overall opinion of this place is that you could get a better option elsewhere.
5. Storybook Dining at Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge)- This is THE option for the princess lovers out there. The ambience is amazing and so is the food. The bummer here is that they only serve dinner, so that lowers your chances of getting in. This is your chance to see Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen!
6. Topolino's Terrace at Riveria Resort- Topolino's Terrace serves French and Italian cuisine for breakfast and dinner. Here you can see Mickey and friends.
7. Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom- Okay Disney people, don't throw things, I know that Be Our Guest is not considered a character dining, but pickings are slim okay? The Beast resides here, but there is no guarantee you will see him and he won't be interacting with you. He just walks through the dining room as food is served. Be Our Guest serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The style here is French and a prix fixe menu.
8. Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom- This is another one that I wouldn't consider a character dining. Cinderella previously hosted many of her princess friends to make this whole experience a bucket list opportunity. However, now Cinderella dines alone (and I mean that). The restaurant is so big that you will be lucky if you get a glimpse of her and most likely it won't even be enough to get a picture of her, and the price is still the same. My advice here? Adjust your expectations if you absolutely must dine here. But I would probably wait it out, if you can, for things to go back to normal.
Okay, so these are your main options for now. There are still some options that are unavailable, most of them include the princess characters. Hopefully, they will be available soon. It was just announced that hug and autograph character Meet and Greets will return soon, of course this is great news! So, we are moving in the right direction.
